To prove Dolly is a clone instead of being genetically related to her surrogate mother, the scientists cloned Dolly from a cell taken from a Finn Dorset sheep and an egg cell taken from a Scottish Blackface sheep. Dolly’s whiteface proved that the clone was successful.’
